Below, is a break down of the topics we cover in each year group.

Year 6

'Blood, Blitz and Gory Bits' is based around WWII and we complete this for the majority of the Autumn Term.

'Forces of Nature' is started at the end of the Autumn term and it runs into the first part of the Spring term.  This is based around volcanoes, earthquakes and electricity.

'Home and Away' we try to start this around the same time as Australia Day.  It is a topic based around Australia.

The first part of the Summer Term is dedicated to SATs practice.

In the Summer Term, we study 'Who are we?' which is based around evolution and inheritance. This topic also focuses on 'Ultimate Questions'. In addition we have a general practical Science focus to prepare the children for the more hands-on elements of secondary school science.
