Super Stars at Baden-Powell and St Peter’s School

Super Stars at Baden-Powell and St Peter’s opened in September 2013. We operate from Maidment Hall and we provide Breakfast Club from 7.45am-8.45am and After School from 3.20pm-6.00pm.

During Breakfast Club children can enjoy a tasty, healthy, nutritious breakfast with a choice of cereals, toast, porridge or crumpets, fruit and a drink of milk or water. After breakfast the children have the opportunity to play ball and group games, arts and crafts, read a book, board Games and problem solving activities before they go to school.

After school club begins at 3.20pm and is also held in the Maidment Hall; here the children can relax and unwind after a hard day at school! Super Stars offers a variety of exciting and different opportunities including physical activities such as tennis, cricket, badminton and this can all be done inside or outside. There are lots of Arts and Crafts available to explore, helping to celebrate different festivals throughout the year. We also offer a variety of board games and puzzles as well as opportunities to get creative through den building or spending time cooking up something nice to take home!

At Super Stars, meal times are social occasions where children are involved in setting up the tables, laying them and in serving their own food. Included in our price is a two course, cooked tea served between 4.30pm-5.00pm. Our menu includes delicious dishes such as Chilli con carne, rice & veg, Roast chicken, Yorkshire pudding, gravy, roasties & veg, Chicken casserole, mash potatoes & veg, Bacon & cheese pasta bake & salad sticks and Fish cakes, potato wedges, baked beans & veg.

Dinner is then followed by a selection of different puddings including Jam & banana sponge, Fruity flapjack, Fruit salad and Fruit Crumble & custard. All dietary requirements can be catered for, including a vegetarian option that is available daily. In providing tea for the children, this enables you to pick your child up and spend quality time together.

As part of Super Stars, we have a children’s Council that meet regularly to discuss various aspects of the Breakfast and After School Club, including any ideas on how the club is run. The council is made up of children from each year group and they discuss activity ideas and oversee sports, creativity, events and the general focus of Super Stars.

You will be invoiced calendar monthly, in advance, for all booked sessions. This will be sent to you by e-mail. There are a variety of convenient ways to pay, including Bacs and Childcare Vouchers.
