Claire Kelly

Chair of Governors

I have two boys one currently in year 4 and one who has just left BPSP to start secondary school.   As a family we love living in this part of the world and aim to make the most of all the opportunities  locally especially outdoor pursuits.  Professionally I have worked in numerous roles both abroad and in this country, most recently as a rehabilitation Therapy Manager within the NHS.

Fr Jonny Scott

Fr Jonny Scott joined the ministry team at St Peter's in June as he began his 3-year Curacy.  He is honoured to be serving BPSP as governor.  When not in a dog-collar, Jonny loves exploring Dorset with his young family.

Michael Gooby

I am now semi-retired working in boat sales, having previously had a long term career with BT in their Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Training Divisions.

Interests include all things nautical, building restoration, psychology, and sport. I have previous school governance experience at both Stanley Green and Oakdale Schools and am a previous member of St Peter's Church PCC where I am a regular communicant.

Two of my grandchildren have attended BPSP School, one is currently at Lilliput CE School and one at Pre-School. I am looking forward to actively participating in the life of the school and to making a positive contribution to this excellent establishment.

Elizabeth Fleming

I have two sons, one currently in year 4 and another who will join BPSP in September 2018. I joined the governing body in May 2017 and am enjoying supporting the excellent work done in BPSP. Professionally, I have worked in multinational programme management and relationship management roles in the financial services industry.

I am proud that myself and one of my children are part of such an inclusive, forward thinking and high achieving school.

I look forward to working with the school towards maintaining high standards of achievement, as well as supporting the values and ethos of the school.

I hope to bring my knowledge and experience of an 18 year teaching career, to my new role as Governor.

Sam Bury

Co-opted Governor

I am delighted to be joining the governing body of such a vibrant and inclusive school.

I am a very proud father of a daughter in year 3 who loves the school.

I am hoping to bring my previous experience of being a governor in a large secondary school and my knowledge and skills acquired from teaching in a number of schools over the last 20 years to the role.

I feel very privileged to be serving the school community in this way and look forward to working with the governors, staff students and parents of BPSP.

Steve Caldwell

Co-opted Governor

My involvement with the school goes back to my eldest child joining in 2001 and subsequently two other children with the youngest currently being in year six. I have always been impressed with the continual improvement during this time and am proud to be able to join the governing board to help the school in the future.

My experience is predominantly in business and management from over twenty years in the IT industry and more recently fuelling a long term interest of antiques.
