Personal Development

At Baden-Powell and St. Peter’s CE Junior School, our intent is not only to provide academic opportunities, support and encouragement for each and every child to achieve at their very best but also to nurture the personal development of each and every child so that they can flourish in the wider world and become the very best version of themselves.

We aim to develop each child, spiritually, morally, socially and culturally (SMSC) by supporting and enabling them through a wide variety of opportunities across their time at BPSP. Included in this, is Personal Social Health and Economic Education (PSHE), Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) and Courageous Advocacy. In addition, our school vision, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,” and our values of Compassion, Aspiration, Resilience, Friendship and Respect form the firm foundation on which personal development at BPSP is built and extended; they are woven through everything we do and through the whole school community.
