Safeguarding

Baden-Powell and St. Peter's C.E. Junior School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  We expect all staff, governors, visitors and volunteers to share the same commitment.

If you have any serious concerns about a child, particularly if you think they may be suffering or at risk of suffering harm, please share this information promptly with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (Mr Simon Frost) or the Deputy Leads (Mrs Karen Johnstone-McCarthy, Ms Jude Evans or Mrs Rachel Rusling).

We have a Safeguarding Policy as well as other documentation pertaining to safeguarding children.  These can be located in the policies section of this website.

The Police via Children’s Services alert them that a domestic abuse incident has occurred at the home of a child.  However, routinely the detail of the incident will not be shared with the education setting unless there are other concerns about a child’s welfare.  This is to ensure that education settings meet their data protection requirements.
